First things first, what is this ‘experience’ we’re talking about? Well, Sightline uniquely combines multiple screens around the room with an intelligent camera setup. The first to put remote callers and content in direct line of sight of everyone in the room. The second frames in-room speakers so that people at home can put a face on whoever is talking.
But how do you turn that list of components into a unified solution? And a compelling story?
Giving everyone a seat at the table
Beyond the impressive use of technology, the real purpose of Sightline is meeting equity. To give every participant the feeling that they’re sitting right there in the room.
We wanted to express that sentiment, elevating Sightline from a meeting room solution towards an experience where everyone felt seen and heard, wherever they were seated.
An idea that sparked the tagline “A hybrid meeting experience for every point of view”.
Of course, you also had to see what Sightline was about. Now, we could have put a bunch of people, screens and technology around the table, and try to explain everything all at once.
But we figured that would quickly overcomplicate the design, and just confuse people.
Instead, we started from the most distinctive part of a Sightline room: the voice-tracking cameras. From there on, we worked our way down to the benefits and eventually, technical features. This allowed us to untangle the complexity and explain the whole shebang step by step.
Score one for simplicity.
